As stated in the Quality Mark for Candles and Candlemaking (RAL-GZ041). The scope of this quality mark is to guarantee the beeswax is genuine unadulterated, and possess sufficient purity.

This beeswax is natural unbleached from China. It has a fine-grained, matt, non-crystalline fracture; becomes soft and pliable when warmed by hand. Odour, faint and characteristic of honey. Relative density, about 0.96.

This wax is practically insoluble in water; partially soluble in hot ethanol (90%) and in ether; completely soluble in fatty and essential oils.

Sprues are soft and pliable wax extrusions used in lost wax casting for gating and runner systems.

Sprues form a mount for the wax pattern and create a channel for the elimination of wax. They form a channel for the entry of molten metal, providing a reservoir to compensate for alloy shrinkage. British Wax provide red and green coloured wax sprues, with the red option being more flexible.

British Wax circle sprues are available with a diameter of 1.6mm (1/16″) to 64mm (2 17/32″). We offer a cored (hollow) circle sprue with an outer diamter of 15.8mm (5/8″).

Our square sprues are also available in a range of sizes with the side mesaurement varying from 9mm (3/8″) to 35mm (1 3/8″). A cored version of this product is also available with a side measurement of 12.7mm (1/2″).

Sumac Wax is a Japan Wax substitute as it is derived from the same plant and can be used in cosmetics as a consistency enhancer and co-emulsifier with moisturizing properties. It is ideal for use in lipsticks, lip balm and emulsions in skin and hair care products.
It is considered GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe) by the United States FDA for use as a constituent of cotton fabrics for contact with dry foods.
It is also suitable for a wide range of industrial uses, both in blends and on its own.

Carnauba Wax is obtained from the leaves of the ‘Copernicia Cerifera’ palm tree. Colour and quality of this product are determined by the age of the leaves and the process of extraction.
Prime Yellow  (Type 1) is the first to be harvested followed by Type 4, harvested later in the season.

The Carnauba palm is indigenous to northern Brazil and can be found along riverbanks and streams. The tree expels wax through pores in the leaves; this maintains hydration in an equatorial climate.   Carnauba Wax is considered the hardest of natural waxes and produces a highly durable film.

We also supply Type 1, Type 4, and Type 1 Organic Carnauba Wax in flake format as well as Type 1 and Type 3 powder.
